A1 – John´s  town

John is retired and widowed. He lives in a small town in the south of Venezuela. Every day, he wakes up early in the morning. He has a coffee and an arepa for breakfast. Then he leaves the house and goes to the countryside.

John loves the countryside. He has a piece of land where he grows vegetables and fruits. He plants tomatoes, potatoes, carrots and lettuce. He takes good care of his plants. He waters the plants and removes weeds. He spends many hours in the countryside and feels happy.

At noon he returns home to have lunch. He prepares lunch with vegetables from his crops. After lunch, he takes a short break. In the afternoon, he reads a book or watches television. Sometimes he takes a walk through the town and greets his neighbors.

In the evening, John goes to the city bar. At the bar, he meets his friends and talks to them. They drink a coffee or a glass of wine. They play cards or watch a baseball game. John has a lot of fun at the bar. The bar is an important place for him because he can be in the company of his friends.

After the bar, John returns home. He has a light dinner and then goes to sleep. His day is simple, but full of activities. Jhon loves his quiet life in the town.
